More fun with Papervision3D and AIR.
Using a Cube decorated with six MovieMaterial instances that feed on BitmapData objects taken from instances AIR’s HTMLLoader, we get a little 3D browser cube:

Well I learned something today. It’s a new expensive world, making desktop apps. Apparently you need a digital certificate from a certification authority like Verisign or Thawte.
I’m certainly not shelling out the $300 just for a little example app, so you will have to download and install at your own risk.

I’m building on a little 3D graph app for work, based on AIR and Papervision3D.
It’s a graph on which one axis contains all the days in the year, another one contains all the half-hours in a day, and the third is the level of … um … some kind of level the client wants to [...]
Been looking at some interesting experiments with the new Pixel3D class in the Effects branch of Papervision.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that at the upcoming Papervision workshop at the FITC Amsterdam 08 conference, there will be a presentation on a forthcoming Papervision-based multiplayer game.

I’m currently investigating Papervision3D, an ActionScript 3D animation API. The possibilities are very exciting; at the moment they are working on version 2.0, with some very fancy effects.
