Just now, these things happened:
I started the Flash DE.
Adobe Updater launched itself too.
Updater asked me if I wanted to install the updates for Illustrator.
I said yes.
It told me shut down Flash and Camino.
From this I infer:
Updater launches at startup of any app in the CS3 Suite.
Updater requires CS3 apps to be shut down when it installs software.
Therefore:
It will always want to shut down CS3 apps at the most inconvenient time possible: when you obviously need to use it, because you just started them up!
Short version:
Adobe are stupid.
I may have a better suggestion (it should be pretty bleeding obvious) but if they want my suggestions, they can hire me. This isn’t FL/OSS - considering the price tag, they should just get it right.
