It really does. Was it written drunk, or by mindless Macromedia interns that didn’t even understand what they were writing? Was it never checked by anyone with half a brain?
Terms are used inconsisently and inaccurately; examples are terrible; and some things are just not documented at all.

Meanwhile the authoritative source for ActionScript is Colin Moock’s Essential Actionscript. Unfortunately the edition for AS3 isn’t out till July.
