sprouts – son of asproject

The Sprouts project, an incarnation of the earlier ASProject (see example usage video) looks very interesting – an “open-source, cross-platform project generation and configuration tool” which uses Ruby’s Gems architecture to fetch and install libraries.

Its purpose is to automate the tedious tasks involved in setting up new projects, building test suites, even installing essentials like the Flex SDK for you. There has been some discussion on FlexOnRails and also at the AssertTrue blog itself (the AssertTrue people are the same ones who developed ASUnit).
