Makebook
My current client (on a contract basis). Interesting project. Can’t say much about it right now. Watch this space.
C4 Communication
My last full-time job, as Senior RIA Developer at C4 Communication in Surry Hills. I developed their company website, using Flash CS3 and Papervision3D; an installation for Energy Australia with around a dozen different apps (Flex, AIR, Flash, PV3D, SQLite); the website for the Colombian pub on Sydney’s Oxford St, built using Flex with a .NET/FluorineFX backend; and many other bits and bobs.
Abuzz Technologies
From 2006 to early 2008 I worked at Abuzz as Human Interface Team Leader (fancy name for lead Flash/Flex developer). Abuzz creates touch-screen “kiosks” for many clients: Westfield, Sydney Airport, Vodafone, Optus. My biggest project in my time here has been the Harvey Norman music kiosk, which lets users pick from a large (4-terabyte) catalogue of music – several of the major labels entire catalogues – and burn their own custom CDs in-store. I’ve also created an ActionScript application development framework which is now being used for all new Flash work at Abuzz.
The White Agency
Tucked away in leafy Balmain, White are one of Sydney’s top multimedia design agencies. I worked as a Flash developer on the Australian Coca-Cola website – an exhausting but hugely rewarding experience.
Westfield
The largest shopping centre company in the world, Westfield hired me to work on their websites: Perl / Mason for the backend and Flash elements on the front end.
PeopleLogic
I developed web applications for PeopleLogic for about three and a half years. During that time, the company moved from a web design, graphics and multimedia shop into providing web applications with a focus on electronic communications (email, SMS etc). So the work has been varied: from online graphics manipulation to the full-featured LAMP/DHTML web app, the Communications Suite.
freshweb
As you can guess from the name, freshweb is a young and modish design agency – they are based in North Sydney. I’ve done some PHP-MySQL work for them on local projects like this one.
Neil Baller
Neil is too talented! His 3D modelling skills are tip top. We’ve worked on a couple of projects now — the Flash website of leftfield electronica outfit Specificus, and a cool but ill-fated fan site for a certain Australian pop star (who arbitrarily pulled the plug on the project for no good reason … these prima donnas!). He does the visuals and I do the code (be it serverside scripting or Macromedia Flash ActionScript).
Delerium Designz
Early on in my career I did a couple of web apps and the odd website, such as the Menopause Institute one, for these guys.
